Lesley was my partner and what a wonderful partner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry it took me so long to post my days were lost with the holiday. I did not even get on the computer to check email. I was very spoiled and want to make my socks now. The coffee is not pictured because my husband had become addicted to it and it was almost gone and he threw away the bag. But it was free trade holiday spice very tasty. The lotion she gave me is also not there already next to my bed. She made the project bag that everything is laying on. I got a ball of opal sock yarn for my first pair of socks. And an awesome travel mug I have used often good that it is a tall mug because I had to put it in the picture in use. My DH wants to know when the next coffee swap is he thought this was the best swap I have been in!!! Lesley was a wonderful partner and spoiled me so well and kept in contact. We also have little boys a month a part.

There are still kind and giving people out there
I went to pick my 11 year old up at school today it was getting late so I went to Subway to get lunch. So I ordered subs for us all to share, and my 11year old a slurpee (sp). Well when I got the check out I found out they did not take discover card the only card I have. So I had to tell the girls we would have to go somewhere else where they took my card. Well Rachel got all upset she said she was so hungry and that she did not even eat breakfast.
So I am leaving and the manager comes up to me to tell me where an atm machine is and I said that would not help me since I did not have my atm card with me. I again apologized for them making food that I could not pay for. I was almost at the door and she catches up to me to tell me that a person in the subway wanted to buy my children and myself lunch. i finally gave in. We went back I kept saying thank you. and of course the person wanted to be anonymous . So when the food was rung up there was $7.86 left I told the cashier to put it in their tip jar. She was amazed.
Then as we are eating the manager comes up again and says that the same person wanted to buy my kids each a cookie. Will it ever end.
I know I should not be ashamed but I know there are people out there that need this meal more than my kids and myself. But it just shows you how caring and unselfish people can still be. It makes you see that the Christmas spirit is still living in people.

Last weeks topic, we wanted to know what is your favorite activity during the "Wintery" months. Please post what would be the perfect vacation during the Winter Season? Would rather you head to the beach, to escape all the cold weather or want to pack your ski's and head to the mountains. You tell us what vacation you prefer during the Winter Season.
I would love both. I love going to the beach. But my family loves to ski so that would be great also.

What my Latte says about me
What Your Latte Says About You |
You don't treat yourself very often. You find that indulging doesn't jibe with your very disciplined life. You are a very frivolous person. You don't take anything too seriously. Why should you? Intense and energetic, you aren't completely happy unless you are bouncing off the walls. You're totally addicted to caffeine... but you like to pretend like you aren't! You are responsible, mature, and truly an adult. You're occasionally playful, but you find it hard to be carefree. You are deep and thoughtful, but you are never withdrawn. |

WWCE Next question
What is the ideal setting for enjoying the perfect cup of coffee? In the morning I love that first cup of java.
Who would be there - or would you be alone?I love Saturday mornings having coffee and talking with my DH
Inside or out? I enjoy the coffee outside at a cafe so relaxing( with out the kids)
Morning or night? Morning or night not picky
With food or just the steaming cup of joe? I do enjoy it with a dessert item but alone is ok also.

This is the type of pie I am
You Are Apple Pie |
You're the perfect combo of comforting and traditional. You prefer things the way you've always known them. You'll admit that you're old fashioned, and you don't see anything wrong with that. Your tastes and preferences are classic. And classic never goes out of style. Those who like you crave security. People can rely on you to be true to yourself - and true to them. You're loyal, trustworthy, and comfortable in your own skin. And because of these qualities, you've definitely earned a lot of respect. |

Randy's Team Wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My step son's team won the Bux-Mont championship!!!!!!!! They are now in the regional playoffs they might be heading to Florida and play at Disney World!!!!!!! My husband and my son are so excited. i am so proud. Even though I did not give birth to him I am so excited when he makes wonderful accomplishments like this one. He is an awesome kid very loving and heading into the tween years which I believe will be a test run for my husband and my self for our next three. It is so hard being the first one( sorry Heather you were the experiment) and then the last one you are tired and they get away with a lot.
So lets all hope that the Quakertown Panthers win this weekend and go to the last game of the regionals and the boys get to go to Florida!!!!!!!!!!!
GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WWCS question
I love the holidays, it turning colder here, and I love coffee. As the cold of winter approaches, do you change the projects you work on? Do you work on gifts for others or do you continue working on projects for yourself? Can't wait to see all the replies. Nice meeting each and everyone of you.
I do not change my projects for the holiday season. I am not a fast knitter so I would have to start in jury to do Christmas items. But I love giving my projects to people and I give them as gifts through the year, and that makes people smile and that makes my day.
And of coarse a cup of java as you knit is perfect.

FFBE Next Question
What was your favorite Halloween costume ever - for you? for your kids, if you have them? Why did you enjoy it so much? Do you still dress up now? Chat a bit about your traditions for dressing up on All Hallow's Eve!
I have a wonderful mother in law she makes all my childerns costumes. The two girls are always Princesses. My mother in law makes them like they are going to be in a wedding as a flower girl, they are just gergeous. My stepson was askateboarding monkey i lved this costume also, he looked so awesome, She also made him a dinosaur costume when he was five that was sooo cute the tail went on forever, but he did not complain about walking around I think because he was getting candy.
But the one that take the cake is my youngest daughter Elizabeths coustme this year she ia a mermaid, my mother in law out did her self.
I do not still dress up takes to much time to get three kids ready, and an infant. My last costume was a mummy for a party before kids.
I just love the fun my kids have getting all dressed up. They get a kick out of it and they get new playclothes for the next year.
Our tradition is we stop at my mother in laws and she takes pictures and the kids get some candy. Then we go to my mothers house she has so many houses around her and we take the kids out. Then when we get back the kids sort the candy and trade for thier favorite ones.

I can't wait till they are good enough we can enter them in some competitions(if they want to). My DH has even been thinking of getting the training for teaching the Girl scouts how to shoot for their badges. He is an archery nut, even makes his own bows. He was so proud that night that they both did so well.Chip off the old block.

A Little Sad News
My Mother is going through a hard time right now. My Dad past away seven years ago and it always hits her hard. I try to keep busy so I do not get down. I hate feeling that way. We all miss him so much.
I would have loved my children soooooo much and spoiled them more than my mother does. He was an awesome man and everyone in our family miss him every day.
So if you read this say a little prayer for my family to make it hurt a little less on Friday. Also that my mother has an alright day. Maybe if she gets to see the kids she will be fine.
So that is enough of being down until next year.
Love Sarah

Fall Felted Bag Exchange
Okay so here’s the questionnaire for this round! Please post this on your blog no later than August 27Th! Keep in mind that the more complete you are, the more it helps your pal begin to get to know you and make a bag that you'll truly enjoy!
1)How long have you been knitting or crocheting? How did you learn? or from whom?
I have been Knitting for 5 years on and off and really got into it in the last year and half. i learned from my mother.
What was your first felted object, and why did you decide to try felting? The yarn and pattern my mother got me for Christmas because i kept showing interest but was to scared to try it on my own.
What are your favorite colors? Any you hate? I love deep rich colors not a big pastel lover. I do not car for bright yellow or orange. I love red and green purple.
What are your favorite styles\types of bags? (Long straps? Short handles? Handbags? Totes? Embellished? Plain? Include links to patterns or photos if you’d like – give your pal an idea of what you enjoy!) I like handle or straps I can put on my shoulder I have four children so I need my hands for them. I like handbags and totes. I do not like the large flower embellishments, but I do like buttons, and I love a crazy liner inside my totes.
What handbag or bag are you carrying today? Do you use a separate bag to carry your knitting? I am caring a handbag and i do use a separate bag for my knitting but have not found one I really like. I also carry a diaper bag every where I go.
What other things do you enjoy knitting or crocheting? I would love to learn to crochet, but I do not have anyone to teach me.
What sort of needles do you enjoy working with? (straights vs circs, bamboo vs aluminum)I love knitting on the round. i have a set of plastic ones now, but they sometimes fall apart, I have tried my mother bamboo ones they were very nice.
What’s one project you’ve not yet tried but are dying to make?I would love to try socks and felt a hat.Just have not had the guts to try it.
What’s one yarn you’ve not yet tried but are dying to work with? I mostly work with wool and cotton. I would like to try this suede yarn JoAnn told me she used for her tote in the international exchange.
What other hobbies do you have? Do you spin? Sew? Garden?I am tiring to garden but my father did not hand down his green thumb and is no longer with us to help me. i love to cook and bake, that is what I went to school for.
Besides yarn, do you collect anything? I love willow tree figures, I love funky necklaces and earrings.
What kind of goodies do you enjoy? Sweets? Salty? Anything you hate or are allergic to? Both sweet and salty. I love them together also chocolate covered pretzels or any type of chocolate my favorite hands down is Godiva dark chocolate. I also love but do not keep in my house all the time is salted peanuts can eat a whole jar. Thought of another one gum drops or Swedish fish.
Do you have any kiddos? (Furry kind count!)I four wonderful active children. Randy 11, Rachel 5, Elizabeth 2 1/2, and William 1 1/2 months.
What kind of project best personifies you and why? I like to felt items an I love bags of any kind I have always changed my handbags often. Also I love making items for people and see thier faces when you present them with it.
What is your favorite part of Autumn? You can also share a special Autumn memory if you'd prefer! I love Autumn because of all the colors and My birthday is in October. And the weather is just perfect warm day and cool nights. i am not complaining to my DH that it is cold.

Still working on My Blog
I now am reading the the tote exchanges are requiring blogs. So I have started my own, sometimes it is hard to tell everyone about your self it almost feels like you are bragging, but i guess nobody else is going to do it. i just read about a felted bag exchange2 that sounds like a lot of fun. i hope I will be able to do it, I need to remember to sign up before I go on vacation.
I can not believe that my first baby girl Rachel is starting Kindergarten on the 27Th of this month; Where did five years go, and my stepson is going into 6Th grade!!!!!!
My sister and her baby Kennedy are doing great that is awesome!!!!!!! I can not wait to meet her she has also not yet met my little bundle of joy William. They 42 days apart. They are going to have so much fun together. Our daughters are only six months apart. This is so cool!!!!!!!!! When I get a picture of Kennedy will post it. I will post a picture of cutie Katie she is so cool and spunky. Her and my second daughter are a lot alike. Elizabeth has of stubbornness like her father but he won't admit it; I guess I am a little stubborn also.
I have been married almost 6 YEARS. life with Ron my DH is wonderful. we have such an awesome time together. We laugh a lot together and have so much fun. I think that is what makes a marriage stay wonderful.
